There are several ways to finance a new company in the Netherlands, such as business support organisations, investors, or traditional finance.
If you are an entrepreneur and would like to utilise the Start Up permit, you have to have some funding possibilities when you apply.
Start-up facilitators such Inqubator (Leeuwarden), Founded in Groningen, or Founded in Friesland can provide information on potential funding sources.
There are also organisations that provide financing for innovative entrepreneurs and SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises).
One of these is the NOM, the authority for FDI (foreign direct investment) in the Northern Netherlands. The NOM focuses on bringing companies to the North, and they provided roughly €1.2 billion in new investments between 2012 and 2016. The organisation also matches entrepreneurs and small businesses with investors, with a minimum investment amount of €50,000.
You can also always approach traditional business financing partners, including Dutch banks Rabobank and ABN AMRO Bank (an IWCN service partner/provider). Their websites are good resources for trustworthy information as well.
