DigiD

A DigiD (Digital Identification) allows you to access various online governmental services in the Netherlands.

You can apply for a DigiD using this link. You will need to have your BSN number available.

Please note: If you have just received your BSN, please wait several days before applying.

Government systems will need to update the DigiD site with your current information before you can apply.

After applying, you will receive a letter with an activation code within three working days. You can then complete the activation of your DigiD account in the DigiD app or online.

Following activation, you can use your DigiD account to access various governmental sites, pension funds, health care providers, and water boards.
