Do you love playing with words? Then WordPlayers is perfect for you. Held by the Writers Club in Groningen, WordPlayers is open to anyone with at least a B1/B2 level of English proficiency – seasoned writers and absolute beginners alike – looking to have fun with other word lovers. In WordPlayers, the accent is on playing lively writing games that inspire creativity.
For example, players have fun responding to famous writing cues like ‘First Sentence,’ ‘Non Sequitur’ and ‘Last Straw’ that come from The Writer’s Toolbox by Jamie Cat Callan. These, and other original group favorites like ‘Chain Letters’ (the alphabet game) and ‘Kinky Keywords’. They are bound to spark your creativity and might even inspire you to author a short story, a play, a poem, or whatever!
If this sounds like fun, join the Writers Club by registering for this event. A benefit of club membership is that it give access to our digital community, the Forum – our private WhatsApp group and email list. NB: contact details are never sold to third parties and, of course, you can always opt out. The Forum is ideal for those who can’t always attend our live events* yet want to connect with other writers.
Please register for this event 24 hours in advance to ensure you will receive the confirmation email. Be sure to check your spam folder (and add emails from IWCN and Connect to your whitelist).
If you have any questions, or if you cannot attend the event you registered for, please notify us as soon as possible. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject “Writers Club: WordPlayers”.
