Short Story Workshop Groningen
Event details
Do you seriously want to develop your creative writing talent? Are you keen to tackle the challenge of writing an original short story that should end up good enough to get published? If this sounds like you, sign up for the Short Story Workshop, held by the IWCN Connect Writers Club.
This practical workshop is for keen writers who have at least a C1/C2 level of English proficiency. The workshop involves four teaching sessions and one follow-up review session a fortnight later. Participants are encouraged to begin writing a new story but are not expected to finish it within the timeline of the workshop. However, by the fifth session, they should be close to completing a draft. Participants may share their drafts with other members of the Writers Club and ask for feedback.
The workshop is led by Ragini Werner (Writers Club coordinator), a professional editor/translator and published author. Ragini’s short stories have appeared in the USA, Belgium, the Netherlands, and New Zealand. Her first novel Revealing Philippa is available on Kindle; Becoming Janice appeared in April 2024 and is available at Walter’s Bookshop, as well as on Bol.com, Amazon.nl, and via raginiwerner.com.
Please note that by registering for the Short Story Workshop you commit to attending all five sessions. An added benefit of registration is that it means you join the Writers Club and gain access to our private WhatsApp group and email list. NB: Your contact details are never sold to third parties.
