IWCN Webinar | Healthcare in the Netherlands
Event details
Being ill is unfortunate, no matter which country you are in. The situation can be made worse by not knowing how to access the right help for you.
The Netherlands has a good quality healthcare system but it is different from most countries. The role of the family doctor or general practitioner (huisarts) is central for any medical treatment and knowing who to turn to when needing assistance might ease the pain even a little. But what do you need to pay for yourself and what is included in your insurance? Do you even need to be insured? These are the questions Gezondheidscentrum Groningen and Zorgverzekeringslijn will be answering during the session.
During our online info session we will cover the following topics:
- a general overview of the healthcare system in the Netherlands
- the role of the “huisarts” and how to find one
- what to do in case of emergency
- health insurance – how does it work?
The presentation will take around 50 minutes after which we’ll have time for your questions.
