Welcome to the Mom Cafe for Internationals Friesland, a gathering dedicated to moms (or soon to be moms), just like you! Organized every first Thursday of the month, in the morning at 10 AM.

Semin Suvarierol Hoen, the driving force behind the Mom Cafe, extends a warm invitation to join her for a morning of connection and camaraderie. With loads of experience as a doula and counselor, Semin has a wealth of knowledge and empathy. Her personal journey from Istanbul to Friesland, fuels her passion for supporting others on their paths to parenthood. Because she knows how it is to navigate the complexities of motherhood and wants to help others!

But Mom Cafe is more than just a gathering—it’s a place where mothers can come to recharge, share, laugh and find solace in each other’s company. And you can see it as a moment dedicated to you, where you can connect with peers and share a nice time. Together with your friends and even your kids!

The Mom Cafe for internationals will be organized at a cozy little place in the center of Leeuwarden. After signing up, the exact location will be send to you by e-mail. But conveniently located near the train station, it is the ideal spot to meet up with friends and enjoy yourselves. It also has a play corner for the little ones. It’s the perfect place for moms to relax and connect while their kids play nearby. So give yourself a treat!

A little more about Semin

Semin is a proud mother, who originally comes from the enchanting city of Istanbul. She pursued her passion for social scientific research in the Netherlands and ended up settling in the serene village of Luxwoude, Friesland. She lives here with her loving husband and two beautiful children.

Her own path to motherhood wasn’t without its challenges, but it’s shaped her in profound ways. Through her own journey, she discovered a deep desire to support others on their paths to parenthood. With certifications in counseling, doula services, and healing practices, she’s embarked on a mission to guide others through their transformative journeys. Now through her company Birth Wish, she extends an open invitation for others to support their path.

She’s always up for engaging conversations, enjoying beautiful music, and dancing to her heart’s content. Nature, trees, and people hold a special place in her heart, and she’s endlessly fascinated by the miracle of birth. By volunteering for IWCN she specifically wants to create get togethers for moms with an international background by organizing simple Mom Cafes.
