City Deal – Warm Welcome Talent

The Warm Welkom Talent City Deal was signed by the cities of Groningen, Amsterdam, Den Haag and Eindhoven in May 2017. Alongside the cities, the Ministries of Economic Affairs, Social Affairs and Employment, Security and Justice, as well as the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science also ratified the deal. The IWCN is also participating, along with the Municipality of Groningen.

Broad goals of the City Deal include:

• A streamlining of regulations for non-Dutch people looking to start up new companies and grow existing companies
• A scaling up of the support for non-Dutch business people
• The creation of more jobs in the Netherlands by enterprises owned by non-Dutch business people
• To provide the best opportunities within the Netherlands for all incoming international entrepreneurs
• To build a profile of the Netherlands worldwide as being exceptionally welcoming for entrepreneurs, especially those from outside of the EU
