The GIP-EDR is an organization devoted to collaboration and business along the Dutch/German border, established in 1997. Its goals include contributing to spatial planning, developing infrastructure, fostering cultural togetherness, and developing the regional economy. The GIP-EDR also provides grants for projects that help it achieve these aims.
The organization has its headquarters, as well as significant space for launches and expositions, in the Dutch village of Bad Nieuweschans; the easternmost point of the Netherlands and right on the border. Within this building, the Grensinfopunt is available to give advice, facilitate contacts, and expand its projects through collaboration. Advisers are contactable throughout the week by telephone, and also arrange ‘personal advice’ meetings.
For more information about the Eems Dollard Region, please see its website [only in Dutch and German]. If you would like to contact an adviser at the Grensinfpunt, please see here for details.
